Livadi beach (plazh Livadh as seen on the roadsigns) is located 2km north of Himare town. The beach (pebbles) is almost a km long and you could drive (8min), get a taxi or walk there (35min) [walking is really a nice experience as the suggested route goes up a small hill (olive trees, fig trees, springs all included) and ends up on one end of the beach (the one not connected with the local road, so if you want to return by car you will have to walk across the whole length of the beach). The beach is usually quiet hence spacious, ideal for long stays under the sun enjoying a book. At some points someone could even find straw shelters made by locals. There are also a couple of places (tavern-restaurant-cafes) to enjoy fresh seafood for lunch, a refreshment for the sunny hours and we suggest a cup of mountain tea (caj mali) early in the morning with the sun rise.
